These are certainly bizarre times politically and so many people are shouting their opinions through the press, the internet, and direct political discourse. For many, this feels like it's falling on deaf ears. For the People provides a platform for people to cut through the noise and make their opinions heard by representatives at all levels of government.
For the People allows representatives and their constituents to use the democratic process to communicate in real time about the issues facing their communities. Representatives can create polls to gauge their constituents opinions on upcoming votes and pressing issues in their jurisdiction. Residents can then vote in the polls posted by their representatives at all levels of government. They can also create petitions for other residents to see and sign in solidarity when representatives aren’t proving responsive on issues they believe are important.
This platform is designed to establish a clear line of communication between constituents and representatives. In turn, this will create transparency, trust, and a people engaged in governance and not just politics.
